10 years ago, Ethos started the AgeWell program with a simple premise: keep seniors active, healthy and living independently in their community.
With your support, and the hard work and dedication of a small but effective collective of staff and volunteers, our AgeWell program has conducted more than 300 individual programs, events and health promotion classes with more than 8300 participants over the past three years alone.
In today’s economic climate, it is a challenge to provide quality services with dwindling resources. Ethos can’t support the AgeWell West Roxbury program alone. That’s why we need your help. West Roxbury Rocks, our annual fundraising event, helps to fill the gap.
Ethos will hold its annual West Roxbury Rocks event on Friday, June 16, 2017, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., at the Irish Social Club, 119 Park Street in West Roxbury. This year’s celebration will feature an open bar, a buffet dinner by Masona Grill, a performance by Comedian Tony V, music, auctions and raffles, and dancing throughout the evening.
Can we count on your support for this important effort? You can support Ethos AgeWell West Roxbury and West Roxbury Rocks by:
- Becoming an official event sponsor
- Purchasing space in our event book to advertise your business or acknowledgement
- Donating an item or gift certificate for the auction or raffle
- Reserving a table for the event (8 seats)
- Purchasing tickets for yourself and loved ones
Funds raised at West Roxbury Rocks has enabled us to do so much. Since 2013 AgeWell has had:
- 1,000+ elders complete Falls Prevention/Physical Activity Programs such as A Matter of Balance and Tai Chi
- 600+ seniors complete Health and Wellness classes such as Chronic Disease Self-Management or Healthy Eating
- 5,600+ older adults participate in Social Engagement Programs such as AgeWell Café and Holiday Celebrations
- 3,000 hours of class instruction, event programming and community engagement activities
Just think about how much more we can accomplish together with your support!
West Roxbury Rocks is Ethos’ signature fundraising event.
