LOREN SINGER APPOINTED AS HEAD OF THE 52-YEAR-OLD ELDER SERVICES NON-PROFIT

 

BOSTON, MA – March 21, 2025 – Ethos today announced that its Board of Directors has appointed Loren Singer as Chief Executive Officer.  She will lead a team of 200 providing a range of services that support elders and the disabled in maintaining their independence and continuing to be engaged in their community.  As CEO, Ms. Singer will be responsible for providing vision, leadership, and direction for the organization’s thriving programs, services, and activities as well as oversee Ethos’ strategic direction, organizational status and reputational well-being. She will assume day-to-day leadership of Ethos effective April 28, 2025.

 

Most of Ms. Singer’s 30 years of experience in the social services industry has been here in greater Boston where she has served in senior positions focused on creating and implementing services that assist people of all ages to transcend their most challenging life circumstances and to live independent, productive lives in the community.

 

Prior to accepting this role, Ms. Singer had been with Riverside Community Care, Inc. for the past 19 years, serving as the Vice President of their Developmental and Cognitive Services Division. During her tenure Ms. Singer had consistently demonstrated the ability to foster innovation, and build strong relationships with team members, providers, and consumers to effectively serve client and community needs.

Ethos is a private, non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting independence, dignity and well-being among the elderly and disabled through quality, affordable and culturally-appropriate home and community-based care.  As a state-designated Aging Services Access Point (ASAP), Ethos coordinates all the non-institutional home and community-based services for elderly and disabled residents of the southwest Boston neighborhoods of West Roxbury, Hyde Park, Roslindale, Jamaica Plain, and Mattapan as well as, provides city-wide nutrition services in Boston, which serves approximately 2.6 million meals for older adults, delivered to the home (Meals on Wheels) or served in 41 neighborhood congregate settings (Community Cafés).
