Under Erin's leadership, Project Bread has more than doubled its operating budget and staff, strengthened its advocacy efforts, and helped secure landmark legislation making free school meals permanent for all Massachusetts students. She has championed a comprehensive approach to ending hunger by combining direct food access with systems-level policy change, helping thousands of individuals and families across the Commonwealth.
In recognition of her visionary leadership and commitment to ending hunger, Erin was named NonProfit PRO's 2023 Nonprofit Professional of the Year. Her collaborative leadership and unwavering commitment to equity continue to make Massachusetts a stronger, healthier, and more food-secure place for all.

A collaborative and visionary nonprofit leader, Justin believes thriving communities are built by investing in people across every stage of life. Through innovative partnerships and a focus on joy, belonging, and community, he has helped strengthen East Boston as a place where older adults can age with dignity, purpose, and connection.

About Ethos
Ethos is an award-winning nonprofit organization committed to improving the lives of older adults and disabled individuals in Greater Boston. Our goal is to enable individuals to remain in their homes for as long as possible and prevent the need for institutional care.
Ethos’ services include Meals on Wheels, home care, case management, and culturally appropriate programs.
Our commitment to the independence, dignity, and well-being of older adults and disabled individuals, and keeping them at home, is at the heart of everything we do because home is Where the Heart Is.

Our Mission & Impact
At Ethos, we believe supporting older adults requires more than programs and services. It requires compassion, advocacy, and a deep commitment to helping every person age with dignity, connection, and joy.
Every day, we work alongside older adults, caregivers, and families to strengthen independence, reduce isolation, improve access to essential resources, and build a community for aging. Through our services, partnerships, and advocacy, we help ensure that older adults can remain engaged, supported, and empowered.
This year’s gala celebrates the resilience, wisdom, and vibrancy of aging while honoring individuals whose leadership and service have made our communities stronger. At a time when many older adults face growing uncertainty, we remain committed to advancing equity, inspiring hope, and creating lasting impact through collective action and care for one another.
Event Chairs
Chris Berk
"I am honored to serve as Co-Chair of this year's Ethos Gala. Every older adult deserves the opportunity to age with dignity, good health, and meaningful connections. Ethos provides so much more than essential services—it helps people remain independent, engaged, and connected to their communities. I'm proud to support this year's focus on joy and nutrition, and I hope you'll join me in helping ensure that older adults across Boston have the resources they need to thrive."
