JOIN ETHOS FOR OLDER ADULT LOBBY DAY AT THE STATE HOUSE!

 

Recent budget cuts, some as high as 50%, have put key programs for seniors, including Ethos’ Senior Center Pilot program, the Healthy Aging Program, and the Nutrition program (encompassing Meals on Wheels and Community Dining programs), in jeopardy. We need your help to ensure their survival. Join Ethos on Wednesday, May 6th, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for Older Adult Lobby Day at the Statehouse and make your voice be heard! This event is being organized by Mass Home Care, which represents Aging Services Access Points like Ethos.

11:00 AM: Registration and Refreshments
11:30 AM: Featured Speakers
12:15 – 2:00 PM: Office Visits to the offices of Legislators

BUS TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE: Ethos will be offering complimentary transportation from West Roxbury or Jamaica Plain to the State House.

DEPARTURE IS AT 10:00 AM FROM:

  • The Boston Lodge of Elks #10, 1 Morrell St, West Roxbury, 02132. Limited parking is available onsite.Ethos, 555 Amory St., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
  • No parking will be available onsite. Limited street parking may be available.
  • Busses will return to their respective destinations by 3:00 PM.

Participants must be able to walk long distances within the State House and stand for extended periods, as seating may be limited. Please consider this when registering.
