Free Farmers Market Coupons for Seniors
Beginning Tuesday, July 6, Ethos will begin distributing free Senior Farmers Market Coupons, at our Community Cafes and other locations throughout Boston. These coupons can be exchanged for eligible foods such as fresh and vegetables, honey, and fresh-cut herbs at farmers’ markets, roadside stands, and community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs. Individuals must be at least 60 years old and meet income requirements (see below). Most SNAP, SSI, Section 8 Housing, Energy Assistance, Medicaid, or Commodity Food Assistance program beneficiaries qualify.
Eligibility Criteria:
- 60 years of age or older, or
- Disabled and living in senior housing where congregate nutrition services are provided, and
- Your income must be lower than $23,828 annually ($1,986 monthly) for a one-person household or $32,227 annually ($2,686 monthly) for a two-person household
