Helping seniors shovel snow and finding a larger space for the AgeWell Café, were among the issues on the agenda at an AgeWell West Roxbury Advisory Committee meeting on Wednesday, held at the Deutsches Altenheim in West Roxbury.
Annie Fletcher, an AgeWell intern who is working as the snow removal coordinator at Ethos, talked about recruiting volunteers to help with shoveling snow for seniors. In addition to distributing flyers, news releases and door hangers, plans call for recruitment efforts to include more high-tech methods of signing up volunteers, using the website neighborsforneighbors.org, and the city’s “See, Click, Fix” program.
