The older adult population in Boston is growing and experiencing higher rates of depression and mental health challenges than their counterparts across the Commonwealth.

The EMHOT Program at Ethos is a person-centric flexible Behavioral Health Program for persons age 60+ focused on improving the mental well-being of each individual. Social Workers and Master level Social Work interns assist older adults with immediate needs as well as long-term supports.

EMHOT Team members meet with older adults to establish trusting relationships and provide services including:

  • Assessment of an individual’s needs
  • In-home visits, counseling, and therapy
  • Accessing community-based therapy services
  • Connection to resources such as Home Care, Medicare counseling, volunteer and employment opportunities, SNAP benefits, transportation resources, Healthy Aging classes, and much more!
  • Coordination and collaboration with family/caregivers and medical providers
