COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is rolling out COVID-19 vaccines. Demand for appointments is high and vaccine supply is limited therefore, it may take time to schedule an appointment. Additional appointments and public vaccination sites will be opening. For residents with the ability to do so, we encourage you to keep checking the official vaccine rollout website as appointments are added on a rolling basis.

Ethos is partnering with state and city public health officials to provide Boston’s older adult population with up to date information about the COVID-19 vaccines and is committed to being a resource to the community throughout this crisis.

In the coming days and weeks, Ethos, along with our public health partners, will be distributing additional information, holding virtual town hall meetings to educate the public, providing staff for vaccine clinics at certain elder housing buildings and more. We will also be advocating for equitable access to vaccine resources in communities where people of color and other marginalized groups reside.

In the meantime, we have prepared answers to many commonly asked questions regarding the COVID-19 vaccines and how to obtain them.

When can I receive a Covid-19 Vaccine

Vaccinations for people ages 75 or older begin on February 1st and continue throughout the remainder of the winter and into the spring and summer. Appointment scheduling for these individuals started on Wednesday, January 27.

Where can I receive the Vaccine

There are currently two mass vaccination sites within the city of Boston including Fenway Park and the Reggie Lewis Center. Additional public vaccination sites will go on line in the coming days and weeks. Please visit the Commonwealth’s webpage with vaccination sites for the current list of open sites. In addition, some local pharmacies and primary care providers are also offering vaccines. Visit www.mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap for an up to date list of vaccination sites.

How do I make an appointment to receive a vaccine

Appointments, while significantly limited at this time, can be scheduled online by visiting
www.mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap

Residents can select a location from the map on the website and follow prompts to schedule an appointment online. Due to extremely high demand for appointments and limited vaccine supply, appointments are getting booked quickly. New appointments will continually be added to the website regularly and the mass vaccination sites have the most availability for appointments.

Steps to book an appointment:

  • Visit www.mass.gov/CovidVaccineMap and click on the map
  • Select a location and schedule an appointment online
  • Have your important information with you, such as your insurance card
  • Fill out the self-attestation form, which will need to be presented at your appointment

Does Ethos provide assistance in setting up vaccine appointments?

If you cannot use the online system we will connect you with telephonic registration.
