Ethos and the Elks Club Ensure Frail, Homebound Elders Have a Hot, Thanksgiving Day Dinner

Who: Ethos/ Boston Lodge of Elks No. 10/41 volunteers

What: Ethos and The Elks Club will again have about 41 volunteers delivering thanksgiving dinners to 200 frail, homebound elders in southwest Boston neighborhoods and the Allston/Brighton neighborhood. These meals are being provided by the Boston Lodge of Elks No 10 in West Roxbury. The Elks Club prepares each of these dinners in their kitchen and dinners include turkey, gravy, stuffing, sweet potatoes, mixed vegetables, cranberry sauce, a slice of pie and a roll or bread. Some of our volunteers are families, who have been delivering these meals together on Thanksgiving Day for 5 years or more.

When: Thursday, November 26th, 10:00am -1:00pm

  • Volunteers will pick up meals at the Elks Club at approximately 10am
  • Meal Delivery to Elders takes place between 11am -1pm
