On Thursday, April 9th, Ethos hosted the screening of “The Age of Love” a documentary about a first-of-its-kind speed dating event for seniors 70 to 90 years old. Over 50 eager friends gathered at the Hyde Park Branch Library with excited anticipation, enjoyed popcorn and chocolate while watching this poignant film about the search and need for love at all ages. There were moments of laughter and yes, maybe even a tear as we followed the journey of 30 individuals looking for companionship. Afterward, a lively discussion ensued and there was a unanimous sentiment that should Ethos organized an event, there would be large participation—perhaps a social fair where people can meet up along their varied life interests.
