Become an Ombudsman!

Are you looking for more experience advocating for seniors? Do you have some free time and wish to impact the lives of elderly in need that reside in long term care facilities? Ombudsmen are specially trained volunteers and staff who visit each nursing facility and rest home in the City of Boston on a regular basis and meet with residents and their families. Duties include visiting and observing each room, interacting with residents to advocate for their concerns, and reporting any unresolved issues to the Ombudsman Program Manager.

The three day training take place August 15-17, 2016 at Springwell, 307 Waverley Oaks Road, Suite 205,  Waltham, MA 02452. If you are interested in becoming an ombudsman, please contact Marietta McCarthy at mmccarthy@ethocare.org.
