Please join Ethos on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., for a special “Virtual” Welcome Back event for LGBT Seniors, Friends, Allies, and Supporters.

These are extraordinary times and the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the cancellation of so many activities and events that have been central to our LGBTQ Senior community. While we aren’t able to gather together in person, we will still be treated to a performance by Mar Fayos, a vocalist from Barcelona whose music is described as “Jazz fusion creations with Latin, Pop, Mediterranean and Soul influences.” Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear from Ethos CEO Valerie Frias and, socialize with friends.

This event will be held virtually via Zoom due to COVID-19 restrictions on gatherings. You must register to attend.

Monthly Virtual Cafes to follow on the third Thursday of each month (the next event will be held on April 22nd).

We also would like to introduce Krystal Kilhart, Ethos’ new Site Coordinator for Ethos’ LGBTQ Cafes, assisting to develop programming, secure speakers, and organize activities for virtual and future in-person cafes. In their previous work they have served as an Educator Advocate with the Center for Women and Community, a student organizer with Civil Liberties and Public Policy, and as the Co-President of the UMass Amherst chapter of Real Food Challenge.

Krystal holds bachelor’s degrees in Anthropology and Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies from UMass Amherst. Outside of Ethos, they work as a florist and enjoy writing poetry, collaging, being outside, and reading.

Krystal Kilhart can be reached at kkilhart@ethocare.org. Please join me in welcoming Krystal!

Thank you and, we hope to see you at the “Virtual” Welcome Back event on Thursday, April 1st.
