On Monday, June 1, 2015, Meg Licht, Ethos’ Volunteer Services Program Manager, highlighted Ethos’ programs at the 2015 Massachusetts Conference on Service & Volunteer, hosted by the Massachusetts Service Alliance.
Meg presented on the topic of creatively matching volunteer interest and skills with needs in an agency and the community. This past year alone, Ethos worked with over 2,500 volunteers who filled both our standard volunteering positions and engaged in new and creative projects.
For example, engineering students from Northeastern University created an comprehensive manual for our In-Home Computer Training Program (Volunteer Spotlight: Chuck Furgason) and many different volunteers – from toddlers to corporate groups – created 4,000 handmade greeting cards that have been sent out with our Home Delivered Meals this year!
